Tropical Low 16U
Tropical Low (16U) has weakened, though may reform mid to late week over waters off the northwest Kimberley coast.
Tropical Low 16U has weakened into a trough north of the Kimberley coast and is no longer a trackable system. However, it may reform into a tropical low on Wednesday or Thursday over waters off the northwest Kimberley coast.
Laer in the week, 16U may move to the south or southeast towards Kimberley coast and may cross on Friday or Saturday.
The system could be slow to develop in a marginal environment and may move over land before being able to strengthen into a tropical cyclone. There is a Moderate risk from Thursday to Saturday of it developing into a tropical cyclone.
Residents of the Kimberley coast are advised to monitor forecasts and updates.
