• A tropical low (11U) is forecast to slowly develop later this week or over the weekend, in the Indian Ocean, west of the Australian Region.
• The low is expected to move east southeast and enter the far northwest of the Australian Region during Friday or over the weekend, with a Low risk of developing into a tropical cyclone increasing to Moderate by next Monday.
• Model guidance shows a broad range of scenarios, however, 11U is likely to be near or west of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands early next week, and residents of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands should monitor forecast updates.

A tropical low (11U) likely to develop in the Indian Ocean, may pass near the Cocos (Keeling) Islands early next week.

• A tropical low (11U) is forecast to develop over the weekend, in the Indian Ocean, initially just to the north of the Australian Region.
• The low is expected to move east to southeast and enter the far northwest of the Australian Region during Sunday or Monday, with a Low risk of developing into a tropical cyclone increasing to Moderate on Monday.
• Although there remains large variation in model guidance, 11U may move close to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands early next week, most likely during Monday. Residents of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands should monitor forecast updates.
• From Tuesday next week, 11U should start moving towards the southwest, and away from the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

Low risk of a tropical cyclone developing in the northern Coral Sea next week.

• A tropical low (12U) may develop in the northern Coral Sea from early next week.
• Monsoon flow may extend across far north Queensland and into the Coral Sea from early next week, and around the same time a southeasterly surge may be moving to the northern Coral Sea. These may assist in developing tropical low 12U.
• 12U has a Low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the northern Coral Sea from Tuesday next week.

A tropical low (13U) may form in the Gulf of Carpentaria, and is a Low risk of developing into a tropical cyclone.

• The monsoon flow across the Gulf of Carpentaria may drive the formation of a tropical low (13U) later this week.
• If it forms 13U will most likely remain weak over the Gulf of Carpentaria waters or near the western Peninsula.
• It is a Low (5-10%) risk of developing into a tropical cyclone Friday and over the weekend.
• If the other tropical low (12U) moves towards western Queensland or the southern Gulf of Carpentaria, it is likely that 13U will have already weakened.

A tropical low (14U) may form east of the Solomon Island, and has a moderate chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

• A tropical low (14U) may form late this week east of the Solomon Islands, and initially east of the Australian area of responsibility.
• From the weekend there is a low chance that the tropical low (14U) will develop into a tropical cyclone, and this increases to a Moderate chance from Tuesday next week.
• From late weekend or early next week the tropical low (14U) may be moving into the Australian area of responsibility.
• It is likely that tropical low (14U) will remain in the far eastern Coral Sea for at least the next 7 days.
