Details of Tropical Low 29U at 4:00 am AEST:
Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 65 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 95 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 45 kilometres of 16.1 degrees South, 146.4 degrees East , 115 kilometres northeast of Cairns and 245 kilometres north of Cardwell .
Movement: west at 10 kilometres per hour .

Tropical Low 29U is in the Coral Sea to the northeast of Cairns. It is expected to move to the southwest and cross the coast between Cairns and Ingham during Friday.

It is unlikely that Tropical Low 29U will develop into a tropical cyclone before it crosses the coast, however rainfall impacts are still expected.


Hazards:
A Severe Weather Warning is current in parts of Peninsula and North Tropical Coast and Tablelands Forecast Districts. Communities may experience significant impacts even at some distance from where the system is forecast to make landfall.

A Flood Watch is current for northern and far northern catchments.

Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 55 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 45 kilometres of 16.6 degrees South, 146.0 degrees East , 40 kilometres northeast of Cairns and 185 kilometres north of Cardwell .
Movement: west southwest at 10 kilometres per hour .

Tropical Low 29U is in the Coral Sea to the northeast of Cairns. It is expected to move to the south southwest and cross the coast between Cairns and Ingham later today.

Tropical Low 29U will not develop into a tropical cyclone before it crosses the coast, however rainfall impacts are still expected.

Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 55 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 55 kilometres of 17.5 degrees South, 145.9 degrees East , 70 kilometres south southeast of Cairns and 85 kilometres north of Cardwell .
Movement: south southwest at 14 kilometres per hour .

Tropical Low 29U has become elongated and the centre has moved over land, near Innisfail. What remains of 29U is expected to move to the south southwest, further inland and dissipate as a trackable circulation.
